My Story
My Scentsy journey started 18 years ago with Scentsy's beginnings in Meridian, Idaho. In August of 2004, my good friends, Orville and Heidi Thompson, invited me to come on board as their 1st Scentsy employee. One year later in October 2005, I had moved to Culpeper, Virginia and began my career as a Scentsy Consultant. Here I am 18 years later, living in Corrales, New Mexico, enjoying every moment of this Scentsy life I have created.
My all-time favorite Scentsy scent is Spiced Orange Harvest. It was a strong, sweet orange scent spiced with cloves and cinnamon. It reminds me of that 1st Scentsy fall in 2004 pouring, shrink wrapping and labeling Spiced Orange Harvest 2x2inch bars on that little sheep farm in Meridian. That fragrance has retired and Scentsy has created many fragrances that come close to it but nothing has matched this original scent since. Every catalog season offers over 80 different scents. Some retire for a season. Some are so-good classics that roll from catalog to catalog. And every month Scentsy introduces a new fragrance too! With so many scents to choose from, I haven't had to pin down a new all-time favorite. AND by enrolling in SCENTSY CLUB, I never have to miss out on a favorite scent again. As long as my scent is in my Club, Scentsy will continue to make it for me. Pretty sweet!
19 years later, Scentsy has become an industry-leading fragrance company offering more than just wax and warmers. For those that choose to diffuse, we've added diffusers and oils. We've also created a safe fragrance system for children of all ages with our Scentsy Buddies and Scent Paks. Many other product lines have been added to our offering that bring our signature Scentsy scents into everyday living, like our Clean Products, Laundry Care, and even Body Care!
I love that my Scentsy business has allowed me to contribute significantly to my family's income. I've helped pay for all the extras that have come our way. And at other times, my income has helped reduce our debts, finish our home basement, pay off a loan, and help us plan for retirement.
Above all, I love the relationships that Scentsy has brought into my life. Whether a customer or a team member or a peer within the business, Scentsy has given me far more in priceless friendships than I have ever made with a sale. I am a Scentsy Lifer!
